OPTO is an innovative French start up founded in late 2005 that designs and manufactures measuring equipment and systems mainly for the food industry.
Most of their developments are based on spectroscopy, for instance they recently launched a novel microlab for wine analysis.

The Research Partners
CERB, University of Perugia
The Italian Brewing Research Centre (CERB) is the first research institute on beer in Italy.
It is the result of a bilateral agreement between University of Perugia and ASSOBIRRA to reach common aims to support and promote excellence in the beer sector.
CERB’s activities include research, experimentation, analysis and training for the beer and raw materials.

IRIS, Innovació i Recerca Industrial i Sostenible.
Innovació i Recerca Industrial i Sostenible (IRIS) was established in 2007 and is a private research performing company based in Catalunya (Spain) providing R&D and engineering solutions for process optimization, process monitoring and process control in the fields of agro-food, materials, environmental solutions, among others.
IRIS is based in a fully equipped science park outside Barcelona from where it serves local industry, and, via its involvement in transnational R&D projects, IRIS has also been very active in providing applied research solutions to wider communities of European industry.
